Top 10 Romantic Comedies of 2011

It's about two friends who nearly ruin their friendship by sleeping together. So they agree to continue the relationship but in order to protect the friendship it will be a no commitment, no jealousy, no expectations type relationship. But can each of them stay emotionally unattached from each other?

This movie is pretty predictable but that doesn't really matter - all romantic comedies follow a similar recipe.

What is different about this movie is that Natalie Portman does such a great job as the leading lady – she's funny but also she adds a lot of depth to the character.

No Strings Attached is a really funny and cleverly thought out movie.

It's another movie about friends who sleep together but don't want to ruin the friendship so they keep it all "commitment free"... won't they ever learn it doesn't work that way.

It's smart, sexy and amusing - and it's perfect first date material as it's good clean fun!

Married guy thinks everything is great, wife suddenly declares she's having an affair and wants a divorce. Married guy tries to drown sorrows in bar and meets hot womaniser who helps him "pull the ladies". Womaniser ends up dating his daughter and all hell breaks loose!

It's funny, it's clever, it's sexy and it's great entertainment.

Adam Sandler strikes again with a successful comedy. Mixing an underdog zookeeper who just wants to find love with a bevy of talking animals that love him and want him to stay is a great combination for some love and laughs.

Adam Sandler doesn't always do so well when he tries to move away from pure comedy but this film is absolutely fantastic and is a great "romcom" addition to his resume.

It's the good old tale f having your perfect partner right before your eyes but you not seeing it until someone punches you in the face with it! It's not an original concept but this film definitely breathes new life into it!

This film has funny lines, funny people and a warm ending that melts the heart.

Who wouldn't want to see Leighton Meester and Selena Gomez in a movie together? And its lucky a lot of people do because seeing those two together was one of the highlights of this film.

The plotline revolves around three graduates vacationing in Paris where they live like royalty and experience romance but in the end the most important things they discover the true magic of friendship. It's a bit of a soppy storyline but it was perfectly geared towards its tween audience - and they loved it.

Let's do Romeo and Juliet - but add gnomes? It's a strange concept but this film pulls it off beautifully. It's colourful and fun and great for those with limited attention spans i.e kids!

It's "Toy Story" meets Shakespeare and its so adorably cute we couldn't resist adding it to the Top 10 of 2011.

After one day together, at graduation, the two leads in this film begin a friendship that will last a lifetime. She is a working-class girl and he is a wealthy charmer. Over 20yrs of to-ing and fro-ing in a friendship together these two realise everything they wanted was in each other.

It didn't get the best reviews but many people considered this movie to be a great soulfull expression of life, love and friendship.

It's a modern twist on Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility and centres around two very rich and totally spoiled sisters whose father dies and leaves them penniless. The sisters are forced to move into their estranged aunt Aurelia's modest but lively home in a Latino-centric neighbourhood of East LA. It is here that they learn the valuable lesson that family and friends are more important than money.

It's not the best romantic comedy ever made and the title is probably the worst thing about this movie. If you look past that this movie is pleasant and gives you a nice warm fuzzy feeling - which is what you'd expect from a "romcom".

This movie about a group of colourful bridesmaids hits the nail right on the head and delivers laughs and the truth about brides, bridesmaids and everything related to weddings!

It's more "women behaving badly" than "romance" but its so funny it had to make the Top 10 - and anyway there's a wedding involved and that's romantic!
