Flying Burrito Brothers bassist Chris Ethridge dies

Flying Burrito Brothers bassist Chris Ethridge passed away this weekend at the age of 65. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

The sad news was confirmed via Twitter by Ethridge's longtime pal Willie Nelson, who wrote, "WN&F [Willie Nelson and family] are sad to hear of the passing of Family member & friend Chris Ethridge he was a talented musician & we were honored to call him Family."

As well as working with the Willie Nelson Family Band, Ethridge collaborated with Gram Parsons and co-founded the country rock outfit the Flying Burrito Brothers with him
