Love art carney. Especially on the Honeymooners. RIP

OITTLE KOJAKJun 23, 2010

In 1975, after the biggest upset in Oscar history, I managed to find out Art Careny`s friends had set up a last-minute party in the basement of the Beverly Hills Hotel. When I got down the stairs, Carney was coming around the corner to use the men`s room. When he emrged, I stopped him and asked to take his picutre. He said: `Sorry no picutres.` `But you won for Harry and Tonto. Please let me take your picture.` `No, no pictures tonight,` and with that he walked around the corner back to the party. He looked so sad. And then it hit me.: He felt so guilty for having won for his fine performance over Al Pacino`s strikingly absolutely brilliant performance in `God Father 2.` Poor Al Pacino...Poor Art Carney.
