Frederick Cline (born May 11, 1961, in Palo Alto, California) is a production designer, art director, writer and storyboard artist. Cline is a lecturer at Chapman University. He graduated from Monterey Bay Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist secondary school. Cline graduated from Pacific Union College with a degree in advertising design. He also graduated from the film school of California Institute of the Arts with a degree in Character Animation. As a teenager, he was introduced to film animation by Lee Blair and Mary Blair, retired artist/animators from his hometown of Santa Cruz, California.
