Gisel Della Chiara was born in Vina del Mar, Chile. Gisel`s family relocated to Canada with Gisel and her two sisters, and had to raise their three daughters with limited resources. Before becoming host of The Sex Files, last year`s highest-rated show for Discovery Canada, Gisel was host of Moda Hits. Gisel hosted the show in both English and Spanish, which resulted in a 5-year span of success amongst both Spanish and non Spanish-speaking Canadian audiences.
Thanks to her ability to communicate to viewers, Gisel made Moda Hits a huge success, and a show that transcended many cultural boundaries. CEO and producer of Latin Vibes Entertainment, Gisel`s tasks consist of everything necessary to keep the show fresh, and a continued success -- whether it be gathering music videos, organizing interviews, or constantly researching. Gisel`s popularity in Toronto, in addition to her down-to-earth attitude and successful hosting abilities, made her the perfect candidate as host of The Sex Files. Unlike the alien and government conspiracy theme of The X-Files, The Sex Files explores the science behind sex. The 13-part series featured on Discovery Channel Canada earned the network tremendous ratings and will reappear in the fall, with Gisel reprising her role as host and narrator.
This self-proclaimed perfectionist admits to hating white socks and cowboy boots, and loving actors Al Pacino and Jodie Foster. Gisel has three tattoos, two on her ankle and one on her lower back -- close, but still not surpassing models James King who has six, and Carré Otis with nine. In addition to The Sex Files, Gisel hosted a Valentine`s Day special on the science of kissing and the different types of kisses, also on Discovery Channel. To say we`d love for Gisel to teach us all she knows on the topic of her show would be an understatement! Being a staple in the Latin entertainment industry as the CEO of Latin Vibes Productions & Entertainment, Gisel has become a brand name by hosting the popular show, The Sex Files.
