Joe is now involved in a stormy relationship with American Bobbie Tulsa. He compares their love affair to that of Oasis wildman Liam Gallagher and actress Patsy Kensit. Joe landed in the slammer in LA last summer after hotel staff called the cops when they overhead a flaming row in the couple's room. The singer insists it was blown up out of all proportion. "We had an argument and the door was open. It was just a tiff like most couples have all the time, but this guy called the cops and they took us in. When they let us go two hours later they were asking me for my autograph on the way out." It was an unhappy and embarrassing experience, and while Joe claims it is now water off a duck's back, he is still hurt by the way the incident was reported. He emerged as something of a heavy metal monster. "People can say what they want, but I know what happened in that hotel. I can hold my head up high and tell them they're wrong. It becomes tiring when you can't go out without ending up in the gossip columns."
