When Ken Berry served in the army in 1953, his sergeant was Leonard Nimoy who urged the versatile performer to seek TV auditions in L.A. after he was discharged. Upon discharge in 1955 Berry took Nimoy`s advice and became successful in TV comedies. I`ve never read that he and Nimoy became friends or ever worked together, which I find surprising.
It should be noted that Ken Berry and Jackie Joseph were divorced in 1977.
