I totally agree with IM2NICE4U. The first time I heard `The Horne` sing `Stormy Weather`, she blew me away. Others have tried to duplicate her but no way. She was heaven sent.

Lena Horn is an absolutely beautiful women and even up until this day she shows such elegance and beauty at 92. As it shows she is an example of a mixed family upbringing, but like most people of color back in the day (or even today) were forced to embrace the African American heritage only according to the one drop blood rule. Lena all I have to say is love your entire heritage and represent them all. Your ancestors deserve to know they were part of you as well.

We believe Ms. Horne has ties to our area and interested in having her come in the near future. She may have selected musicians from our area to perform with her to include Pete Johnson and Teddy Wilson.
