In 1994 I was on a bus in Elizabeth Bay Sydney reading a Rumpole Of The Bailey book. Then I looked out of the window and there was Leo McKern walking up the street with his wife. I dashed off the bus and ran up to him and asked him to sign my book. "With pleasure" he said in his great baritone voice. Then we had a brief chat and I went away with my signed book as a treasured possession. His wife was a very pleasant person as well.
