Feb 1998 -
TV star Martine McCutcheon has been secretly wined and dined by Hollywood ladykiller Michael Douglas.
Stunned revellers watched as the 21-year-old EastEnders beauty enjoyed a romantic date with the film idol, 53.
Fatal Attraction star Douglas took Martine, Tiffany in the hit BBC soap, for a slap-up meal at the posh Bluebird restaurant followed by intimate late-night drinks in a London night club.
And the unlikely couple only had eyes for each other. Douglas, dressed in black polo shirt, jacket and slacks, was clearly smitten by the Albert Square favourite.
He giggled at her broad Cockney
accent and she laughed out loud as the pair chatted in a cosy booth.
Martine, who wore a tiny black frock with a plunging neckline,
said: "We had a fun night out."
A host of other stars called on the couple's table to chat with Douglas. But he could not be prised from Martine's side.
The couple spent more than two hours in the trendy Met Bar.
Oscar-winner Douglas had been introduced to Martine by his night club boss pal Johnny Gold at the weekend.
Within hours the romeo star had invited her out on the town.
