Patrick Joseph Toomey Jr. (born November 17, 1961) is an American businessman and politician serving as the junior United States Senator from Pennsylvania since 2011. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 15th congressional district from 1999 to 2005; he did not seek a fourth term to honor a pledge he had made while running for office in 1998. Mr. Toomey is the incumbent Senate Candy Desk holder, stocking the desk with products of Pennsylvania-based companies Just Born and Hershey's among other smaller manufacturers.
