Rene Ortiz (born April 23, 1969 in Anaheim, California) is a retired Mexican-American soccer player who currently is a physical ed teacher at hilltop high school in San Diego, California. He spent most of his playing career in indoor soccer with two seasons in the Western Soccer Alliance and one season in Major League Soccer. He currently coaches the Mexican national futsal team and the Hilltop High School soccer teams.
