Robert Horton (born Meade Howard Horton, Jr., on July 29, 1924, in Los Angeles, California) is an American television actor, who was most noted for the role from 1957 to 1962 of the frontier scout Flint McCullough in the NBC Western television series, Wagon Train. His costars were Ward Bond, John McIntire, Terry Wilson, and Frank McGrath. Horton quit that series to pursue a career in musical theater. His Wagon Train role was replaced by that of Robert Fuller as the scout Cooper Smith, and thereafter the series moved to ABC. Fuller, a veteran of the western series Laramie, resembled Horton and the two actors coincidentally shared the same birthday, albeit nine years apart.

Fell in love with Flint at age a eight. Loved Robert since. Followed his life career any bit of news.Still looks great at 90.Glad he married Marilyn seems like a good strong marriage but I am a little well maybe a lot jealous( not really well maybe):) love to hear you sing just wish I could've seen him on Broadway. Well here's to his continued good health and Happy New Year 2015 to both him and his wife

Question: Did Robert Horton loose a leg in an accident? Was there another actor who looked like him who lost his leg?

Seems like Mr H settled for Marilynn, good thing and I hope she is an Aquarian. They make the best partners for a Leo. My late husband and I were just that. He being a Leo. Wow.

Mr. Horton..hope all is well with you!! Like many I so enjoy Wagon Train. I never miss the reruns. I think my husband is a bit jealous, because I go around the house saying "Flint is soooo hot "!!

I was thrilled to learn that I can watch Wagon Train reruns now. Robert Horton was my first teenage crush back in the late 50's--found out that the flame still burns!! Good health and happiness to you. They don't make them like Flint any more.

I'm hooked on the Wagon Train reruns. It's a good clean show & I love the each character, they each bring something special. I have to admit to that Mr. Horton sure was easy on the eyes too, very handsome fella. Hope the reruns lasts a while.

I just recently started watching wagon train. And Robert Horton sure makes it worth while watching this show. Him and Ward Bond just seem to have a natural talent with acting together. Did they really get along off screen that well?

To a man almost older than I am. I watch your Wagon Train with even more enthusiasim than I did when I was young. I wish you many more years of good health and happiness. Hang in there for all us old coots.

Started watching the reruns of Wagon Train and couldn`t get over the quality of the scripts, filming and the acting. My favourite TV show and wow how handsome and manly Robert was, they don`t seem to make them like that anymore.
