Roger met Dominique on September 1976 during the planning of Queen`s free concert at Hyde Park. She was Richard Branson's personal assistant.
They were together for 12 years and had two children together (Felix Luther,
born on 22 May 1980, and Rory Eleanor, born on 29 May 1986.).
By 1988 he was being involved with Debbie Leng, the girl in the highly suggestive Cadbury's Flake television commercial, sixteen years his junior, for a few months, since she had appeared in one of The Cross' videos. What many were unable to comprenhend was the ultraorthodox manner in which he went about making their relationship more permanent - marrying his long-time girlfriend, Dominique Beyrand, on 25 January 1988 with Freddie and Mary Austin signing the register as witnesses, then aparently deserting her three weeks later to move into the £700.000 house he had purchased for Debbie Leng and himself.
Taylor informed the press that he and Dominique were undergoing a trial separation, while his mother told the 'People magazine', "The wedding was a love pact because the pair knew their relationship was doomed." It was David Wigg who broke the exclusive for the 'Daily Express', drawing the confession from Taylor, "I wanted to make a commitment to Dominique and out two children. I wanted to make my children legal and secure. Dominique is a terrific woman. We really are the best of friends."
Roger and Dominique are still friends and they got divorced before 2010.
