In July 7th 2001, she married Belfast barrister Gavin Bonnar. They met when Sharon was shooting the video of Runaway, their very first single (1995). They welcomed their first child, a boy named Cathal Robert Gerard Bonnar, on March 31, 2006. Sharon gave birth to their second child, a girl, Flori Jean Elizabeth Bonnar on the 18th of July 2007.
In 2012 Ms. Corr and Mr. Bonnar left Ireland to live in Andorra.
Sharon moved to Madrid, Spain in mid-2017 to pursue her musical career and Gavin went on September of that year with their children. They had rented a luxury apartment in a historic quarter of the city. In an interview in 2018 Sharon told Vanity Fair magazine how she had fallen in love with her surrounds.
On October 2019 it was published that Sharon and Gavin had split. The relationship “ended some time ago”, according to a source familiar with the situation.
The Belfast born barrister had found love with the sister of the Queen of Spain, Telma Ortiz the previous June, while still married to Sharon.
In May 2020 an interview was published with Sharon, saying that she moved to Madrid, Spain, two years earlier. She lives with her two teenage kids - Cathal (14) and Flori (12).
In the May 2020 they asked her if living with two kids on her own make it harder dealing with Covid-19 lockdown in Madrid?
"Of course it makes it harder," she says, "but perhaps it makes it easier, too. Sometimes it's easy to see what you don't have but I prefer to focus on what I do: two beautiful, laughing, healthy kids; a roof over my head, food, my music and wonderful friends and family.
