King and his wife own and occupy three different houses, one in Bangor, Maine, one in Lovell, Maine, and they regularly winter in their waterfront mansion located off the Gulf of Mexico, in Sarasota, Florida. He and Tabitha have three children, Naomi Rachel King, 1970, Joseph Hillstrom King (born June 4, 1972), and Owen Philip King (born February 21, 1977), and four grandchildren.
