After a stunning performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Fl, 1985, my mom and I visited with the then 68-year old performer backstage. I told him in all sincerity I believed he truly was the best crooner. His voice was soooo smooth. It felt so good in the ears. It`s great he`s still performing well into his 90s.
