She was reunited in 1991 with her high school sweetheart, Paul Wessel, a police helicopter pilot for Dade County, Florida. They were married and have a daughter, Aubrey (b. 1994). The family lived in Florida until 2012, when they moved to Thompson’s Station, Tennessee in order to be closer to their children. In 2010, she became a grandmother.
