About Me

Attention: I am quitting Whosdatedwho for the time being.

I love updating, but with a summer job I am way to tired and apathetic to update.

Hopefully I will be back in the fall during moments of boredom in college. Thanks, JP I am a HUGE classic movie fan.

I basically only watch movies made between 1929-1969.

Don`t get me wrong, I do watch SOME current movies but I don`t they have the class and panache that classic Hollywood had.

I have lists of my favorite actors, actresses, and screenteams and I am trying to see all of their movies.

I also subscribe to the TCM Now Playing Guide and make lists of movies (range from 20-60 movies a month) for my mom to tape for me.

I also write fan mail to old movie stars who are still living to let them know they are still loved and appreciated and to get autographs.

My friends think I am crazy, and I guess I am a fanatic, but it`s who I am.

I did most of my updating over the summer when I was bored at home.

Since I have gotten back to college (Winthrop University).....there has been basically no time to update, and I hate it.

I love updating for this sight :)

Oh yeh, I didn`t put Joan Crawford since he wasn`t a huge actor then and I think I put Joan Leslie but it bumped her off the list. I`ll try to add both though!

Jackie Cooper was so cute! It`s funny because as an adult he looked exactly the same! I saw him on TCM and he told a wonderful story about him sitting on Marie Dressler`s lap at the Academy Awards. Both Jackie and Lionel B. were nominated that year and and Lionel won. When Lionel was passing his table he told Jackie that Jackie really deserved the Oscar. Isn`t that sweet?

Don`t forget George Murphy! :)

Thanks so much! I doubt that is all of them, but I had some difficulty finding WW1 celebrity veterans. :)

Lovely! Deanna was cute but sort of awkward when she first started out but she grew up to be so beautiful! So talented and has a wonderful voice! If you don`t have a cd of her singing, I highly suggest it. I do and it is great fun!

I love him! He knew everyone! If you watch him on the old game show What`s My Line? he knows everyone and good friends of his who were the mystery guests had a terrible time disgusing their voices.
7. Miriam Hopkins - posted 6 months ago
I love classic movies, but Miriam Hopkins is actually one of my least favorite stars. She talks fast and over acts in her later years. I read in a films of Claudette Colbert book that people liked her when she first started in films but people found her increasingly hard to work with as her stardom grew.

Laraine Day is one of the many unsung beautiful actresses from the 30s, 40s and 50s. She was so lovely and always brought alot to the films she was in!
9. Joseph Cotten - posted 6 months ago
Wonderfully handsome man. I highly suggest reading his autobiography! He write like he speaks and writes it in such a friendly manner, not saying anything bad about anyone even though you can sometimes tell they might not have gotten along. Robert Osborne said that Jo Cotten was one of the nicest guys in Hollywood!

It is unbelievable how much he looks like his father! Sounds a lot like him when he talks too.
