Actually, let`s close this now: Fiona and her defenders are confusing the meaning of two words - illegible and unintelligible. Quite different usages and meanings. She has used the one when she should have used the other.
2. Amiable - posted 3 weeks ago Flag as Inappropriate
OK. Fiona referred to another poster here, very rudely imo, as an `unhinged and illegible idiot`. Not the correct context for the use of illegible - it cannot act as an adjective for the noun `idiot`. End of.

Erm, amiable.. Yes that is the right meaning. Fiona was clearly not talking about a meaning behind the text. She was talking about the fact that Scooby barely gets the letters in the right order. Therefore = Illegible.

Aimable - You are making a fool of yourself. Meaning of illegible - `unable to read or be deciphered`. Now be quiet.
5. Amiable - posted 3 weeks ago Flag as Inappropriate
::sigh:: No, it`s not. Check the dictionary meaning of illegible . It refers to print or other kinds of text being hard to read. You`re using it to imply a comment was hard to understand.

That is the right spelling and meaning actually - Moron.

Fiona, you`d pack a better punch, retort-wise, if you stuck to words you know the meanings of and can spell.

Christ, what a bunch of fruitcakes on here. I think whether she`s `hot` is a matter of opinion, as it is with everyone... but she certainly needs to choose her friends more carefully. Ones that have grown up since High School would be preferable I think.

I know-I know he`s hot! But look at HER! So is she! I am a married woman with no Ah-tendencies, but can you honestly BLAME him? I am sure she is a lovely person, I wish them nothing but happiness!

elven_pixie: if true, was this at GM`s mother`s wedding?

I`m not sure where all this about David being not such a nice guy is coming from...I actually know Georgia, and spent the evening at a wedding with her and David the other night...he is a lovely bloke! and they seem very happy together, and good luck to them I say!

I think Georgia has done a lot of growing up since becoming a mother at 17. She was once described in an interview as someone in her 30`s rather then her early 20`s and this was 2 years ago, I think. She`s more mature then her age. I don`t think you necessarily have to have the same interests either. My parents have been together for 30 odd years and they have nothing in common but they`re only 3 years apart whereas DT and GM are 13/14 years apart. I just don`t think that you have to have the same interests to be a couple or to be right for each other. :)

I wouldn`t mind attending the things David goes to..Georgia`s probably the same..`being seen` with the hottest man in town is one thought that comes to mind...but i`m not shallow like that..nor in his league...tho` i am a bit older than him...

Ah - previous post came across as a bit negative. What I *meant* to say was that I wonder if DT and GM do in fact share a lot of common interests, especially in music genres. It`s not as if David and she can go very easily to gigs where the teens and early 20-somethings gather. And I didn`t meant to imply that people of her age would not like JB. [Heck, anyone with a pulse must like him, no matter what their age!]

Interesting that GM is seen at various things David chooses to attend, like the Annie Lennox concert, and now the JB concert. I don`t know, but these don`t strike me as being the kinds of entertainments that many 24 year olds would choose to go to. But I also can`t see David being able to go to raves and bars etc, to chill out and listen to bands that younger people are into! Lots of the people he seems closest to are a fair bit older than him.

But how do you know when they commenced dating? And anniversary of what?

A few days late but Happy Anniversary to David and Georgia.

There is nothing to show that he is anything but how he appears and how his friends and colleagues speak of him - a genuine, decent man.
