That was well written, Prish! No one could have said that better. If they had portrayed the sly perceptions of Georgianna at such a tender age it would have shed a greater understanding of her ponderings and actions later in life.

My understanding is that the Duchess Georgiana was a vivacious 16 year old red-head, who tearfully begged her family not to have to marry a 35 year old man, no matter that he was the Duke. I wish they had gotten that right in the movie. They should have portrayed Georgiana with having had such good sense at an early age. That foreshadowing would have made her later dealings in politics more powerful in the move. We can only hope that KK`s subtext will build the bridge.
