British Footballer Ashley Cole Arrested For Being Drunk And Disorderly

 London, England (CNS) - Chelsea and the English national football team player Ashley Cole was arrested following a drunken row with police on Thursday.The 28-year-old husband of Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole was apprehended after launching a foul-mouthed rant at police officers around 2:15 a.m. as he left Collection nightclub in Brompton Road, South Kensington. When he repeatedly swore at officers and refused to calm down, he was taken to a central London police station. He was released in custody at 5:30 a.m. and was issued 80 pound [$100] fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly. A Scotland Yard spokesperson confirmed the report to the Associated Press, saying, "We can confirm a 28-year-old man was arrested at approximately 2:15 a.m. in Brompton Road on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly." "He was taken to a central London police station where he was issued with a fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly and released shortly after 5:30 a.m."
