Isaiah Washington Facing Eviction from Home

Isaiah Washington and his wife, Jenisa, are facing eviction from their home in Venice, Calif., after failing to pay $100,000 in rent, according to court documents.

The former Grey`s Anatomy star has been served with a three-day notice to come up with the cash or be booted from the property. The court documents, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Wednesday by Sandalwood Properties, say the Washingtons have not paid any rent on their home since November.

The couple has been leasing the canal-front home for $20,000 a month, with the option to buy it for $3.65 million.

Sandalwood posted a copy of the pending legal action on their premises last Thursday. "If tenants fail to pay the above rent or to quit possession of the premises within three days after the date of service of a copy of this notice, legal proceedings will be instituted for possession of the premises, and for such other damages as may be allowed by law," the notice read.

On the plus side, Washington has just been tapped to star as blues and R&B singer Lou Rawls in an upcoming biopic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Washington can also be seen in the upcoming Weinstein Co. release, Hurricane Season, which focuses on a New Orleans basketball team after Hurricane Katrina.

Washington has not yet responded to the pending legal action, but a hearing has been set for May 13.
