 Proof—as if any were still required—that Matthew Settle has arrived: “I’ve been called a DILF,” admits the Gossip Girl star. “I’m still trying to work out what that is.”Well, there’s no confusion on that front where his fans are concerned; as gracefully aging rocker and single dad Rufus Humphrey on the delicious CW hit, 39-year-old Settle has single-handedly brought sexy back to on-screen parenting. (Helping Dan and Jenny navigate the land mines of adolescence while still managing to cultivate perfect day-old stubble? Just pinch us!) Says the actor of his alter ego, “Rufus is really a warm, heart-on-his-sleeve, genuine guy who puts others before himself.” Hmmm...sounds a little like someone else we know. Settle, whose wife gave birth to a baby girl on March 5, is unabashedly enthusiastic about being a hands-on papa in real life, too. “We just finished baby-care class—now I know how to change a diaper and make sure she doesn’t pee in my face,” he says. “That’s sexy, right?” You betcha.
