 After mentoring partner Ty Murray for weeks, Dancing With the Stars newcomer Chelsie Hightower got to step into the rodeo champ`s shoes. The April 6 show highlighted Chelsie sitting on a bull receiving Ty`s tips on how to hold on tight. Fortunately for Chelsie, the bull wasn`t going anywhere. "I would have killed him if they`d pulled the pin," Chelsie told In Touch with a laugh. However, just a week earlier Chelsie did do some mechanical bull riding at West Hollywood`s Saddle Ranch Chop House, with Ty on hand, as well as Extra`s Mario Lopez, who also tried the sport. "I`ve never done this and don`t want to kill myself," said a nervous Chelsie. "But I`ve ridden horses with him before and I rocked that." Chelsie also learned more by accompanying Ty to the annual Ty Murray Invitational in late March, an event he hosts as part of the professional bull riding cup series. "As a teacher, Ty is so knowledgeable and patient, he`s great," Chelsie gushed. "I am in the safest hands, and who better than the king of the cowboys to show me? I am an honorary pro-am cowgirl now, it`s a cool life, I should ask for a belt buckle!" Chelsie thoroughly impressed her partner too. "I told her the trick is to ride it like a pendulum," Ty told In Touch. "But she grew up with five brothers, she`s a tough gal and did great."
