How does she feel about playing such a selfish character?—Paul Gaer, Sea Bright, N.J. A: “I’m very compassionate, and I can’t believe anyone could be so self-centered and mean to her children,” Taylor, 65, tells us. “But I’m able to turn a switch inside and get into character.” She adds that she loves the show but will become just a “visiting regular,” so she can return to the New York stage.
