The struggling drug addict was slated to star in a series documenting his on-going battle to beat his demons.

The TV deal was said to have been brokered by his famous father, who was reportedly set to appear alongside his son in the show.

O`Neal was set to be followed by a trainer and a bodyguard as he tried to get his life back on track following the death of his Charlie`s Angels star mother in June, according to the reports.

But the O`Neal clan is said to be angry at the rumours - and has no plans for Redmond to appear on TV, according to America`s Extra news.

The 24 year old is currently in a California detention centre, where he is undergoing intense treatment to kick his drug habit. He is due for release in December.
