At The 'Couples Retreat' In Bora Bora With Faizon Love And Kristin Davis

Today the rains gave way to a stellar day in Bora Bora but there was work to be done with our “Couples Retreat” interviews beginning at last. Tomorrow we’ll be chatting with Vince Vaughn, Malin Akerman, Jason Bateman and Kristen Bell, plus we’ll be going on some mini-adventures with the aforementioned talent. Let’s just say we’ve asked for lots of alcohol for the Vince/Malin shoot. We’re classy that way. But back to today. Two couples were paired for us this afternoon for a couple of really fun chats. We got some great dirt on “Iron Man 2” from Jon Favreau and “Sex & the City 2” gossip from Charlotte herself but for now I want to share two key revelations I made in the course of these interviews. 1—Faizon Love READS HIS PRESS. How do I know this? Well, if you happened to read my first “Couples Retreat” blog you’ll know I made a little innocuous dig at the big man. I’ll quote: “Once we boarded our puddle jumper of a flight I had the fortune of sitting next to Faizon Love. Big man that Faizon. Not a lotta legroom is what I'm trying to say.” Well as I sat down with Faizon today lo and behold the first thing out of his mouth was “legroom?!?” Busted. Big time. There really was no recovery for me. Happilly the good-natured actor took the comment in stride and we had a pleasant chat (even if I was mortified the whole time). 2—Kristin Davis DOES NOT LIKE THE WORD, POOP. Actually she probably doesn’t even like to look at the word. So at least I’m probably not going to be in the same trouble I was wiith Faizon because she isn’t reading this. Still what happened happened and we all have to be adult about it. Long story short, the topic during my chat with Kristin today of course shifted to the “Sex & the City” sequel and in the course of our discussion (this is a key point!) SHE brought up the gastro-related issues her character experienced in the last film. I simply countered with the very necessary follow-up question: “do you have any scenes in the new one that rival the pooping scene?” Mike Wallace would have asked the same thing I assure you. Well the revelry came to an end right there as she looked me dead in the eye, clearly bristling at my juvenile utterance, and said, “You were doing REALLY well up until you said that.” Sorry to disappoint, Kristin. Now how can I bring up poop tomorrow with Vince?
