 Vanna Bonta wanted to stay in Italy and some are saying she almost didn`t come back to the US. The Flight author jetted to Europe last month and attended a literary event in her honor in Italy where literati presented her work. She was running around with other poets and writers so she was happy, a friend said. Everyday they went to an art show, poetry lectures, theater. That`s a Dolce Vita not to mention the Italians know poets are rock stars and that`s Amore. Vanna tweeted pictures from her rooftop in the middle of Florence and one from an unveiling ceremony where one of the spokes was a family that had been supporting art and science (yep) in the city for ... over 8 centuries! Gossip buzz is that Vanna is really lonely in the US. Sources confide Vanna feels Italian lifestyle is people-friendly and creative. One insider tells the starry-eyed novelist thinks US culture has become greedy and grabby. She goes on about how business should serve people not the other way around, the source described. Now that the poetic idealist is back, maybe she can grab a slice of pizza and find some comfort in Michael Moore`s Capitalism: A Love Story?
