 Doctor Who`s former assistant has a new partner - Billie Piper has got hitched in a celebrity-filled New Year`s Eve wedding.Famous friends joined the actress and her beau, Laurence Fox, for the ceremony just half a mile from their home in West Sussex. The bride arrived five minutes early for the ceremony at the Parish Church of St Mary`s in Easebourne. Wearing a low-cut ivory formal wedding dress, she was accompanied by four bridesmaids in short purple dresses. Billie`s first husband Chris Evans was among the guests along with Doctor Who star David Tennant and actor Kevin Whately. The 25-year-old met fellow actor Fox, 29, last December when they performed together in the West End play Treats. The couple moved into their £750,000 country cottage in the summer Billie was the youngest female singer to have a Number One single in Britain - making it big with Because We Want To in 1998 aged just 15. At 19, she married radio DJ Evans in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas despite their 16-year age gap. The pair split after three years together but remain good friends. After her pop career dwindled, Billie turned to acting and won a number of awards as Rose Tyler, Doctor Who`s assistant. Fox, best known as the sidekick of Whately`s Lewis in the spin-off from Inspector Morse, is the son of actor James Fox and nephew of actor Edward and the film producer Robert.
