Ajooba is a 1991 Bollywood Fantasy Superhero film, produced and directed by Shashi Kapoor and also co-directed by the Soviet filmmaker Gennadi Vasilyev. It is a fantasy film loosely based on Arabian mythology (such as One Thousand and One Nights). A Russian language dub of the film was released in the Soviet Union as Vozvrashcheniye Bagdadskogo Vora.
General Abdul Wahid Baba Jan, an ethnic Tajik from Parwan province and better known simply as "General Babajan", was a member of the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan during the presidency of Dr. Najibullah. He was promoted to General and was the commander of the Kabul Garrison during the fall of Dr. Najibullah's government until he joined the forces of Ahmed Shah Massoud and Jamiat-e Islami, where he was a member of the senior command. According to some sources he was in charge of directing the long-range rockets used against Hezbe Wahdat and Hezb-i Islami. The same report states that a battalion commander under his command, Habiburahman Parandi, controlled the areas above Kart-i-Sakhi hill up to a part of Ministry of Agriculture and commanded an artillery battery. During the war his forces were accused of kidnapping people for ransom. Units under his command were also involved in the massacres at Afshar.
Anwar Dangar was a commander from Shakar-Darrah (Shakar Dara), which is located approximately 25 kilometres north of Kabul, and was an ally of Burhanuddin Rabbani's Jamiat-e-Islami. He was reported involved in the planning of the Afshar Operation which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of civilians and furthermore he is said to have directly lead troops into the battle.

Additionally he was chief of Kabul after the fall of the Taliban until he was replaced by General Baba Jan after being indicted in the Shinpur scandal.
Assadullah Hamdam is an Afghan politician who was appointed governor of Oruzgan Province by President Hamid Karzai in September 2007, to replace Governor Maulavi Abdul Hakim Munib who had become ineffective. Assadullah is originally from Zabul Province.
