LOS ANGELES (AP) — Fran Warren, whose 1947 recording of ‘‘A Sunday Kind of Love’’ was one of the classic hits of the big band era, has died.

Alan Eichler, a spokesman for the singer-actress, said Tuesday that Warren died March 4 of natural causes at her home in Brookfield, Conn. She was 87.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- A former lead singer of the soul music group "The Spinners" has died in Orlando, Fla.

A statement released Monday by the manager of the R&B group said Bobbie Smith passed away Saturday morning due to complications from pneumonia and influenza. He was 76.
