He is the one who catches the ball thrown by Red Skelton (as Harry Ruby) and tells "Ruby" to take it easy. Gloria DeHaven plays the part of her own mother, Mrs. Carter DeHaven! The dress worn by Gale Robbins in the “All Alone Monday” number is the same dress worn by Ann Miller in the “Girl on the Magazine Cover” in Easter Parade (1948). A billboard for the Marx Brothers in Animal Crackers (1930) is seen in the film. Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby were friends of Fred Astaire from their early days together in vaudeville.
