According to USA Weekend, Catherine Zeta-Jones worked for one evening as a server at Fiamma Osteria in New York in preparation for her role in the movie. When customers remarked on how much their server resembled Catherine Zeta-Jones, she would reply, "I hear that all the time." The Dolcetto wine mentioned in the restaurant during the early part of the film is said to have come from the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. This is the homeland of the film`s director Scott Hicks who is also a wine-maker when he is not making films. The wine mentioned is in fact the director`s own wine label from his winery Yacca Paddock Vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. The music that plays when Kate talks to Zoe at her mother`s grave is from the soundtrack to Ladder 49 (2004). | ||
