Shot on a 19-day production schedule with an additional week allotted for Judy Garland`s production numbers. Released a mere two months after production wrapped.

# # "Bei Mir Bist du Schon" (music by Sholom Secunda, English lyrics by Sammy Cahn and Saul Chaplin, sung by Judy Garland, was prerecorded but not filmed. Judy had performed the novelty number in her on-stage appearance at Loew`s State Theatre in Manhattan during March 1938. The prerecording is heard on the Rhino CD, "Judy Garland: Collectors` Gems from the M-G-M Films."

In the release print, "Meet the Beat of My Heart" (music by Harry Revel, lyrics by Mack Gordon), sung by Judy Garland, was shorted to about half the length of the prerecording. Judy`s full version is available on the Rhino CD, "Judy Garland: Collectors` Gems from the MGM Films."
