Jane Falbury: You really love this, don`t you?
Joe D. Ross: What? Show business? There`s nothing else in the world.
Joe D. Ross: And then they dance. A nice easy dance. It`s a nice easy song.
Joe D. Ross: We`re trying to tell a story with music, and song, and dance. Well, not just with words. For instance, if the boy tells the girl that he loves her, he just doesn`t say it, he sings it.
Jane Falbury: Why doesn`t he just say it?
Joe D. Ross: Why? Oh, I don`t know, but it`s kind of nice.
Joe D. Ross: When the show`s over and it`s the success I hope it is, we`ve got alot of talking to do.
Jane Falbury: What about?
Joe D. Ross: Oh, all kinds of things. First I want to hear the story of your life. Everything that`s ever happened to you since you were so high. And then I want to know what you eat for breakfast, what`s your favorite color, what comic strips you read. Then we`ll talk about shoes, and ships, and sealing wax, and shows. Farms. Families. Oh it may take hours. Weeks. Years. I want to know everything.
Orville Wingait: That actor! She`s in love with that actor!
