I`m a big fan of the movie GIANT and in fact have ridden my motorcycle from Kentucky to Marfa, Texas, to view (as best I could find same) the movie`s sets/locations. Jett and the rest of us fell in love all over again with Liz Taylor (1st time for me was in A PLACE IN THE SUN). Sarge, as played by Mickey Simpson, did a fantastic job in that roll, as did Chill Wills as Uncle Bawley. I instantly became a big fan of both actors, especially of Mickey Simpson.

Mickey Simpson (December 3, 1913 September 23, 1985) was an American supporting actor of burly roles, probably most familiar as Sarge, the racist diner, who beats up Rock Hudson near the end of Giant.
