Biography

Gilson Lubin (born August 3, 1975) is a stand-up comedian originally from St.Lucia. Raised most his life in Canada, Gilson spent the past couple of years on the CTV program MTV Live as one of its original seven hosts. Lubin's sluggishly paced career has led to performances at Montreal's prestigious Just for Laughs festival winning a development deal with SpikeTv 2004 and a year prior he won the 2003 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Stand-up Newcomer. Gilson has taken his act all over North America while making appearances on shows such as Comedy Central, Premium Blend. Of the few proud moments, Lubin believes the only sweet one was opening for one of his comedic idols Dave Chappelle. He is also featured in the January 2008 94th episode of HBO's Def Comedy Jam.
