If anyone is interested in the affair that took place between Clara Bow and Earl Pearson they need to read the biography "Clara Bow, Running Wild" by David Stenn. A great biography on Clara.

She went to St. Vincent's hospital Feb. 14, 1929 to have her appendicitis removed, and he was an interne there. A love affair which lasted for two years came from that meeting.
Bow was later successfully sued by Mrs. Pearson for “alienation of affection.”

It seems the good doctor was treating Clara for "nerves" and "insomnia" by the regular application of his own manly member. The Missus put a private eye on him, and subsequently sued for divorce, naming Clara as correspondent. She also soaked $30,000 out of her by way of damages. "
