I met Jimmy Dean back in the 60ts at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland Oregon, I was a maintenance engineer for the Coliseum Jimmy was appearing there. He said that he wanted to meet all of us and buy us coffee, I remember his manager was having a fit. But he did meet us all and and buy us coffee. I will never forget that, he is such a Great Guy,he also signed a record to me that said thanks Jimmy Dean I still have it. PS we always buy your sausage its great.

When I was 6 years old(1964) my family and I were in Las Vegas and Jimmy Dean was appearing. We were seated at a table near the stage and during his performance he came over to our side of the stage and walked down the stairs and took my hand and walked me back up on stage with him. There was a stool and he sat and placed me on his knee and started asking me questions. No matter what he asked me I kept saying don`t ask me, ask my daddy. Needless to say he sang the song and walked me right back to my seat! I will never forget that and remember it as if it were yesterday and not 45 years ago.
