Orson scared the nation with War of the Worlds and then scared people by selling no wine before its time for Paul Masson

You incorrectly list Christopher Welles as his son - Christopher is his daughter.

(George) Orson Welles made the prototype of the modern American film with Citizen Hearst (sorry: Kane) in his early 20s. He is a genius who was partly consumed by his own success, but the film world will forever reap from his innovations. He must have been like The Brain, occasionally roaring in his double-base voice; THINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT WHEN I TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

Ian KrumholtzNov 11, 2009

Orson wells was denied entry into hollywood`s elite` because he was not jewish, his life destroyed by jealous people who could not stand his talent or genius, the same thing happened to Geroge Lucas.

Orson Welles was a plenteous and diverse creative talent who was simply too ambitious, creative, stubborn and daring for Hollywood filmmaking; he was truly one of the few American-born directors that monumentally mattered during his lifetime, and despite the ruination of a few of his films, Welles still contains one of the most eminent and fascinating resumes of any filmmaker to have ever lived.
