Friend of mine did session work with a band in Peter Gabriel`s Real World Studios in Box near Bath in England, some time in the late 1990s, and supposedly it is in-crowd-knowledge that he tried asking Kate Bush out, but was knocked back by her, soon after the Kate Bush show for the BBC. The way my friend (a drummer)put it was like He didn`t quite get what he, er..... and left the rest to my imagination, so I suspect he`s been rather gauche in his solicitations of Kate Bush, so that I thought, without saying, what, you mean more in the sense of `improper propositioning`? It is clear he hadn`t left her feeling all that pleasant, and they`ve been very lucky to have kept that story out of the media, nothing but the music, which is Bush`s famous demand of all the journalists and TV presenters who have interviewed her.

Peter Gabriel`s birthday is February 13, 1950 - not the second. He met his first wife, Jill, at a boarding school dance at age 16.

Biography
Peter Brian Gabriel (born 13 February 1950) is a British singer, musician, and songwriter who rose to fame as the lead vocalist and flautist of the progressive rock group Genesis. After leaving Genesis, Gabriel went on to a successful solo career. More recently he has focused on producing and promoting world music and pioneering digital distribution methods for music. He has also been involved in various humanitarian efforts. In 2007 Gabriel was honoured as a BMI Icon at the 57th annual BMI London Awards for his “influence on generations of music makers.” Gabriel was also awarded the Polar Music Prize in 2009 and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis in 2010.
