Polanski didn't date Samantha Geimer-he molested her! Geez, she was only 13. Anyway, I still think that Polanski is a great director and I love his movies. I hope he has found peace and contentment after all the years he's gone through hell. I still think he should pay for his molestation of Geimer, though. He's a very complex man. And, in my humble opinion, I think Sharon Tate was too good for him.

I believe whoever wrote the unflattering profile for Samantha Geimer needs a little sensitivity training. I don`t know the woman, but her willingness to forgive Polanski tells me she must be a very gracious person.

Hello, i am a film studies student and am doing some research on the director Roman Polanski. I would greatly appriate it if anyone can answer this question. Is Polanski an autuer? (a director who is and consistently unique in the themes or element that is noticable in most films he directs ) thankyou

Roman Polanski (born Rajmund Roman Thierry Polański; 1933) is a Polish-French film director, producer, writer, and actor. Having made films in Poland, the United Kingdom, France and the United States, he is considered one of the few "truly international filmmakers." Polanski's films have inspired diverse directors, including the Coen brothers, Wes Anderson, David Fincher, Atom Egoyan, Darren Aronofsky, Park Chan-wook, Abel Ferrara, and Wes Craven.
