I endorse all the comments about Mike dying far too soon; what a loss to us fans, but especially to his children and his wife. I loved him best as Little Joe and watched him from when I was 6. His relationship with his 'Pa' was a real one and was lovely to see. God bless him.

I have been heart brocken since I heard about Michael`s cancer. I still watch Little House and cry. My children were 2 and five years old then. We watched it as a family. Since then my husband died and Michael also. It`s very sad for me.

Yes I agree with many he was a amazing man and gergous.Ijust loved watching him on little house on the praire Ithink I have all the episodes of him and Istill watch him as much as I can on t.v every night they are all reapeats but I just love little HOUSE ON THE PRAIRE. AND HIS CO- STARS WERE FANTASTIC ALSOiHOPE Micheal ask god for forgiveness and I am sure he did I know he is walking around with Merlin Olsen whoplayed Johnathon Nobody will ever take his place as an actor. LOVE YOU MICHEAL

He was a great actor and I like the way he would laugh on Bonanza it sounded so realistic for one acting like they were laughing which can be difficult. I just hope he was saved and will be in heaven one day, I only pity the actors of the show who had to have things in the show that the divine might not have promoted like drinking in the longbranch and gunslinging etc. If Michael was and is a Christ follower until his death which likely was since he had time to consider the next life with his kind of illness, then may his soul rest in peace.

Michael Landon (October 31, 1936 – July 1, 1991) was an American actor, writer, director, and producer. He is known for his roles as Little Joe Cartwright in Bonanza (1959–1973), Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie (1974–1983), and Jonathan Smith in Highway to Heaven (1984–1989). Landon appeared on the cover of TV Guide 22 times, second only to Lucille Ball (TV Guide, July 6, 1991).
