Biography

Maria Alba was a Spanish-American film actress. Originally named Maria Casajuana, Alba was born in, Barcelona, Cataluņa, Spain on March 19, 1910, and died of Alzheimer's disease at the age of 89 in San Diego, California on October 26, 1999. She appeared in 25 feature films, starting with Road House in 1928 and ending with La morena de mi copla in 1946. Her most notable appearance was probably as "Saturday" in the 1932 Douglas Fairbanks film Mr. Robinson Crusoe.
