I feel Vincent D'Onofrio is a tremendous actor. I still remember his portrial of John on Homicide: Life on the Streets. The acting was very compelling and moving.

as dr. phil put it, how is replacing D`Onofrio working out for LOCI? Since money was an issue has Goldblum helped bring in more of it? I love Mr D`Onofrio hope him the very best in his health and personal life. Hope to see him soon!!!!!! He is the best. BRING HIM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

norma mcgrew absolutely the best actor on television. never miss CI someone lost their mind in replacing him. i no longer watch it. biggest mistake in tv history. jeff goldblum remains the fly ,forever..... while a great actor. no one could ever replace d`onofrio. what a loss.

I miss D`onofrio immensely. He made criminal Intent a must see every week. I hope he ets another series. I miss Bogosian too and Erbe. they were my favorites.

Vincent D`Onofrio is probably the greatest character actor of my generation. He brought so much to Bobby Goren. He gave life to an incredibly flawed character ala Sherlock Holmes, but with so much more depth and emotion. CI is not a show without Goren and Eames. The progression of his character as the show ran was brilliant. His slow descent into near madness, his troubled family, even his unresolved feelings for Nicole and Alexandra felt real. I have to admit, apparently not alone, that I do find his combination of presence, intelligence, intensity and talent a pretty hot.

I love Vincents work. He is an amazing actor. Neverthless in the last few episodes I got the impression that he must be sick because his physical looks had changed so much! I wish him the best. Criminal Intent will never be the same.

Okay, he`s not Goren anymore ! He may have wanted to leave the show. He`s too good an actor to be type cast ! BUT where is he ???? I want to see him in something ! For me he`s not just a character actor ...HE`S GOOD !!! He draws you into the story...makes it real !!! I would love to see him get some really good roles in movies !!! I like Carin but I can`t help but wonder if Vincent is happy-she produced another son so quickly after reconciling. There are some of us out here that can relate to Vincent in ways she cannot; anyone else agree with me? I wish we could chat with Vincent himself! Please offer feedback.

I really miss Goren and Eames. If there is to be a film about Orson Welles, I believe Vincent would be perfect. I remember seeing him in a Sherlock Holmes film years ago as Dr. Moriarty. The scariest I ever saw and I am a Holmessian! He is by far the best character actor I have seen in my longish life. I saw Eames and Goren as the perfect team - even when they felt betrayed, they talked it through. A great example to human beings! I hope he does more work soon and Kathryn Erbe also. She is terrific.

Vincent D`Onofrio is indeed one of the greatest character actors of our generation. In answer to Roxanne`s post: the movie you`re thinking of is the original version of The Taking of Pelham 123 . The remake had John Travolta reprise D`Onofrio`s role, opposite Denzel Washington.Both versions were awesome, but i admit to a particular fondness for the original. Vincent rules!

Without Vincent D`onofrio, My husband and I don`t even watch criminal intent any more. I also liked his partner Kathryn Erbe. I like Jeff Goldblum,but not without those two. The show is destroyed.

I am a faithful watcher of Criminal Intent, really like Jeff Goldblum and Saffron Burrows.........however, I am truly sad, and yes upset, that Vincent D`Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe are no longer with the show. Watching the two of them work together trying to figure out the who done it to the crime, made my day. I still look at the reruns and just wish you would bring the two of them back, really makes for great TV watching.

I had read when they were bringing Jeff Goldblum on they were getting rid of D`Onofrio, Eames and the captain guy cause they were too high salary and the producerneeded to cut costs! Then why not cut SUV actors? That show had gotten so boring ,the same week after week and grew tired of listening to Dect. Olivia yelling week after week. Goren and Eames were a perfect match, and by the way, he had become so subdued due to his mothers death, finding out who his real father was, brothers death and finding out he had a nephew and other family he did not know anything of. He was dressing blah, but he started this season with COLORS again, then poof!

What are the producers thinking to replace such a great actor and character with Jeff Golblum. No one could replace Mr. D`onofrio or his character Goren. Yes he is VERY handsome but is also an excellent actor. Goren is such a complex character. Why fix something that isnt broken?? In my experience, everytime a successful series replaces a character/actor with another, the show becomes in danger of being cancelled all together.

I absolutely love Vincent in his role as Goren on Criminal Intent. There`s no way it will be anything like as good without him in it. I`ve seen a few episodes of the new series with Jeff Goldblum and there`s no comparison, he just doesn`t measure up to Vincent. The character of Zach has none of the complexity or charisma of Goren. Bring Goren back please!

I agree with some of the other comments women have made. I find this man to be VERY hot. His character is so knowledgeable and intelligent; yet there is the part of him that deals with the known heredity of schizophrenia (his mom). I didn`t realize the Jeff Goldblum was taking over the part completely. I thought they were just going to alternate. The comment I read in Spanish agrees that LOCI will not be the same without him and hope that the situation will be rectified.
