He will always be Kirk but I loved him as Denny Crane. Talented actor, writer and horseman.

The Shat`s height stat is shown as 5`9-1/2 . Maybe wearing his Captain Kirk boots he`s that height. But I think he`s actually 5`7-1/2 . It`s his screen presence that makes him seem taller.

Shato played terminably powerful in Star Trek. In its fair history on televsn, he injected much enigma, solace tranquility in the show.

William Shatner for those of you who did not experience the original Star Trek shows when they first aired, truly missed out on the originator of cool. Us baby-boomers will all tell you youngsters that Kirk was by far the greatest of all star fleet captains. Shatner is the measuring stick for which all the others have tried to succeed but failed miserably. To prove this, 40 years later, Star Trek is still very much alive and so is Kirk. Kirk vs. Spock? Illogical, but fascinating.
