I don`t think she committed suicide. It was accidental. She had an allergic reaction to a shot of barbiturates that her physician had administered for her insomnia.Read her biography, a fragile Life..it`s all in there.

Pier was married to Vic Damone and they had a son. It was not long after her marriage to Vic broke up, that she committed suicide. She was a beautifull woman, and had that something special. It was a tragic ending, she could have been so much more.

In 1953, while a sophomore at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, I had the male lead in Bloomer Girl directed by another Cornelian, Gerry Gordon. After college, Gerry apparently left for Hollywood and lived for a time with Pier Angeli and her family. Would you have any information about his whereabouts?
