John S. Ragin (born May 5, 1929) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Dr. Robert Asten, M.E. in the TV-series Quincy, M.E. (1976–83). Ragin appeared in mostly smaller supporting roles in television series such as in Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Invaders, Star Trek: The Next Generation and smaller roles in movies such as Earthquake and The Parallax View. He played Walter Cramer in the 1974 TV-series "Sons and Daughters". In 1991 he played Dr. Grant Jameson on soap opera Santa Barbara.
