His Wiki profile says he was born in Miami, FL, but that he grew up in Cat Island, in the Bahamas. The whol bio doesn`t show here but it does state that.

Sidney Poitier was born and raised in Cat Island, Bahamas, not Miami. There should be a correction made about this.

WHAT A FAKE. HE PRETENDS TO HAVE MORALS AND INTEGRITY HE LOST MY RESPECT AFTER READING HDIANNE CARROLS BOOK. MEASURE OF A MAN WHAT A JOKE. HE CHEATED REPEATEDLY ON WIFE AND WHAT HE DID TO DIANNE CARROLL WAS INEXCUSABLE.

Congratulation`s Mr Poitier!I`m the young lady that you kissed at Ossining High School in 1969 during get together day and you told me that I could be what ever I set out to be well I never forgot that and I am now running for my Mayor in my home town,and my mother made me wash my face! Thank You!
